Refugio de Vida Silverstre Cuero y Salado, Honduras



The Refugio de Vida Silverstre Cuero y Salado is comprised of 13,225 hectares of mangove-covered wetlands. Located 30 km Southwest of La Ceiba (Honduras), the reserve is home to jaguar, white-faced and howler monkeys, manatees, crocodiles, and 196 species of birds. Cuero y Salado was the first privately administered wildlife refuge in Honduras and stands as a model for newer parks and reserves.
